And
now a picture of the village on a beautiful Sunday sunny
afternoon of May! It is very quiet as you can
see.
Kuujjuaq
Inn. We were in Kuujjuaq, the only village in the Nunavik
to have a place with a dining room (licensed) and a
lounge (bar). We used to go, my friends and myself, every
Friday night after work.
An
original Inukshuk helped guide people seeking their way
through the Arctic wilderness. The people reached their
destinations. They attained their goals and visions. They
handled crises that confronted them and met the demands
made of them. The Inukshuk guided them and gave them hope
in barren places.
This
picture was taken on May 31. The weather was fantastic and
we decided to take a walk on the river shores. Spring was
almost there and we were getting our river back after the
long winter months. In 2000 our last snow storm was on June
30 !
